They are most commonly featured in restaurant, decks, hotels and large patios. They are either attached to the main building or freestanding structures. The major function of a pergola is to offer shade. However, it is a feature that can improve the design of a property.

The benefits of a louvred roof?
A major advantage of louvred roofs is its adjustable rotating louvers. Each rotating louver can be adjusted for more shade or light. The Outdoor Living Group's louvered roofs are adjustable, bioclimatic and versatile. Perfectly suited to homes in Chelsea.
Design
Your louvered roofs should look like a purposeful part of your building. It shouldn’t look like an awkward extension of your building. The Outdoor Living Group’s catalogue of louvered roofs is quite extensive. We have design experts who have had many years of experience in designing pergolas to match our customer’s needs. Your outdoor space, be it a garden, patio or porch needs to be perfect, if you have an idea about what you want for your louvered roof, we have ideas about how to construct it and have the experience to install it.
Bioclimatic roofs
A clever update to the classic louvred/pergola roof, bioclimatic roofs make changing shade and ventilation levels easy. Bioclimatic roof louvers can also be adjusted to let out hot air in the summer and trap in heat during the colder months. With the four preset position on the louver's remote, bioclimatic roofs can be adjusted to various positions. The Outdoor Living Group's bioclimatic louvred roofs are customisable. What this means is, lighting, side shades, heating and sliding glass panels can be incorporated as a later time to transform the roof to a closed room that can be enjoyed at any time of the year. Our louvered roofs can be built as attachment to pre-existing building or a stand alone structures. Making them the perfect fit, if you require a shaded space for your backyard or garden.
Bioclimatic roof features
Our louvered roofs have a lot of technological improvements built in. We design our roofs to have no leaks, exposed gutters or gaps for light. With full control over the blades of the louvered roof, you can control the amount of sunlight that gets into your outdoor space at any time. With that you can control the microclimate of your outdoor space, perfect for gardens. Our louvered roofs are designed to give you ample room to find the perfect fit for your property in Chelsea.
If we add side glazing to the louvered roof, this can create an outdoor space that can be used in any weather. There are a number of optional extras that are available, these include LED lighting, outdoor blinds and electric heating. To reduce the sound of the rain on the roof and also to help maintain the heat during the winter months, internal blade insulation can be added within the louvers.
Our bioclimatic pergolas are designed to be able to rotate the louvers from 0 to 135 degrees quickly to easily aerate your garden. Our louvered roofs can be constructed to be freestanding and this makes them uniquely positioned to turn any part of your outdoor space into a haven of freedom that can be enjoyed no matter how isolated it is. What is amazing with our louvered roofs is that you can decide the amount of protection you want. You can either shut out the elements at any time, no matter the weather, or enjoy the sunlight well into the evening. Is a planning permission necessary to install a louvered roof? Almost all properties in the UK have permitted development rights so installing a louvered roof is okay.
Does installing a louvered roof take long?
The average time to install a louvered roof, also called a bioclimatic roof, is one or two days. This is largely dependent on the size of the roof and if you are adding side glazing. Side glazing will add another day to the installation time to ensure a good finish.
Bioclimatic roofs: The price
The cost of construction depends on if your louvered roof is attached to your property or freestanding. We also have a number of options that could affect the cost. Extras and added features can be added to your louvered roof over time. This can help spread out the cost of the roof. We can work to handle a big project on a limited budget. Call us for a brochure or consult with us on your project and we can come up with a design that works for your property.
