Glass Rooms in Bicester, Oxfordshire
Glass Sunrooms
Working in Bicester, the outdoor living group have provided and installed many Glass sunrooms, with years of expertise. A building surrounded by frameless glass doors is called a sunroom. It is also referred to as a winter garden or glass room. Winter gardens are also referred to as glass rooms, solarium outdoor enclosures, patio rooms or Florida rooms. The major difference between a sunroom and a conservatory is its distinct glazed feature . A glass room is not affected by high temperatures in the summer months because the side glass panels can be pulled back to expel excess heat.

Glass rooms are strikingly different from other rooms in a building because of the amount of natural light that comes into the room. A glass room allows you to enjoy the outdoors of Bicester no matter the weather; rain, sunny, snowy without having to give up the comfort that being indoors provides. Homeowners often incorporate sunrooms as an inexpensive outdoor garden extension. Sunrooms come in multiples design and style options that can be customised to fit even the most unique specifications. They are also designed to blend in with your home for a cohesive look that adds to the appeal and feel of any home.
What Are The Different Types Of Winter Gardens?
Seasonal sunrooms are custom built with single glazed doors that offer natural ventilation and shade that can be enjoyed all year long. They are however not built to be used with a conditioning or traditional heating like radiators.
Glass Rooms: are designed using laminated roof glass and strong toughened glass doors and retractable screens to create a room style that provides a scenic view of the outdoors. Which allows the homeowner to enjoy the pleasures of their garden free from insects and weather worries.
Solariums: can either be constructed to be used all year round or seasonally. They are made almost entirely from glass which creates a room that provides a striking view of the outdoors.

Improve Home Value
Most homebuyers in Bicester won't mind paying a little more money for a property that has a functional sunroom especially when it provides a scenic view. The investment in a sunroom is one that will only appreciate as time goes by.
Enjoy the natural light.
A sun room is always bathed in warm and beautiful light that the sun provides. Not only does this room draw in natural light, but also the sun's warmth, making it a soothing space for an early morning cup of coffee or tea or relaxing with the morning paper or book.
Relax In Extra Room.
Add a sunroom to your space and watch your outdoor living space expand. As a bonus, you also get a space that can serve as a quiet sanctuary, is great for hosting guests outdoors or simply relaxing at the end of a hard day. If you're contemplating adding an extra room to your home in Bicester, why not go for something out of the box and install a glass garden room.
Superb Playroom For Children.
Sunrooms are beautiful and spacious, if you have young children or grandchildren, it would be the perfect spot for them to enjoy their toys or play games.
Entertain Guests In Style
A sunny warm glass garden room is a great place to host all types of events- a candlelight dinner, birthday parties and so on. Your guests will definitely enjoy the time they spend in your sunroom.
Heating up a sunroom.
There are a lot of heating options available for a sunroom. You can also use compact radiant heaters to warm up the people in the room and not the room itself. This is the more efficient option. These are powdered coated, so they can match the colour of your glass room and blend in seamlessly.
What are the methods for cooling a sunroom?
The installation of a cooling system is really not necessary for sunroom. A glass garden room is designed with sliding door panels that open the room up and provide ventilation. Including a retractable roof shade will make the Sunroom even cooler. You can also incorporate side shades on the outside that comes fitted with automatic sun sensors that track the sun's movement all through the day.
FEATURED GLASS ROOM PROJECT
A contemporary glass room for outside dining
Mr & Mrs Farthing 5.7m x 3.0m glass room with integrated LED roof lighting, bespoke roof shade & dimmable heaters
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.
The designIt was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
