Gaining in popularity in Mitcham, the Glass sunrooms from the outdoor living group offer a sleek look with expert installation. Glass rooms or winter gardens are structures built with surrounding framed glass doors. Glass sunrooms also go by the name glass rooms, solarium outdoor enclosures, Florida rooms or patio rooms. The major difference between a conservatory and a glass room is the single glazed feature of the glass roofs and the retractable side glazing elements. Glass rooms also remain cool in summer months due to the great air circulation created by opening all the sides up.

Yes it can. There are a couple of heating methods that can be used in a sunroom. A more efficient method is to use compact radiant heaters to warm up people not the sunroom. These are great options because they are powdered coated and can match the colour of your glass room.
Typically, heat is not an issue in a glass garden room because it is constructed with sliding glass panel that create great air flow and when combined with a roof shade you will have the perfect climate all year round. In addition, you could also have a side shade that comes with an automatic sun sensor installed on the external parts of your sun room to follow the sun's movement.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.
The designIt was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
