A favourite in Oxfordshire, Glass sunrooms are available in a huge range from the expert installers at the outdoor living group. A structure that is encircled by a frameless door system is called a sunroom (winter garden). Winter gardens also go by the name patio room, solarium outdoor enclosure or a patio room. The major difference between a conservatory and a glass room is the single glazed feature of the glass roofs and the retractable side glazing elements. Glass rooms also remain cool in summer months due to the great air circulation created by opening all the sides up.
Book a free surveyGlass rooms are strikingly different from other rooms in a building because of the amount of natural light that comes into the room. With a glass room, you get to enjoy the beauty of the outdoors in Oxfordshire. Glass rooms create a space that is free from nature's elements but provides an amazing room of the outdoors inside your home. Homeowners often incorporate sunrooms as an inexpensive outdoor garden extension. A sunroom is also great home addition because it comes in a broad range of styles and designs. In addition, sunrooms are designed to seamlessly match your property and increase its aesthetic appeal.
Seasonal sunrooms are custom built with single glazed doors that offer natural ventilation and shade that can be enjoyed all year long. They are however not built to be used with a conditioning or traditional heating like radiators.
Glass Rooms: glass rooms are designed for the homeowner who would like to enjoy the beauty of their garden or lush backyard without having to deal with outside elements such as the weather or insects. These room style features laminated glass roofs and toughened single glazed glass doors.
Solariums: can either be constructed to be used all year round or seasonally. They are made almost entirely from glass which creates a room that provides a striking view of the outdoors.

Your young children or grandchildren will enjoy a sunroom because it is warm, spacious and beautiful, making them great for a play area. It is a great way to get them to enjoy the outdoors.
Whatever the occasion might be, dinner party, a family get together, a warm sunny glass room, add a touch of sophistication to any event. Which is why it is the perfect spot for entertaining in style.
There are a lot of heating options available for a sunroom. The more efficient method would be to use compact radiant heaters that warm up people not the room. These are great options because they are powdered coated and can match the colour of your glass room.
The installation of a cooling system is really not necessary for sunroom. A glass garden room is designed with sliding door panels that open the room up and provide ventilation. Including a retractable roof shade will make the Sunroom even cooler. You can also include an outdoor side shade that is controlled by automatic sun sensors that follows those thorns movements.
Our vision was to have a very minimal and low maintenance garden that was going to be usable all year round. Our designer Martyn came out to meet us and immediately we were sold on the frameless doors as this would give us the view we were looking for.
The designIt was a pleasure to work on this project helping to create the Farthings’ vision of what an outdoor living experience should be. We delivered the solution they required without any compromise in design or practicality resulting in a great outdoor living area. The glass roof section of the glass garden room had a balcony cut-out in the middle to work around the protruding doors and windows in the centre of the property. We constructed a raised substructure which the room was built off and finished the surface with composite decking.
